💥CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA: Behind the scenes of Onam celebrations💥
ONAM CELEBRATION AT COLLEGE: A Rendezvous with culture.
STRIKING THE PERFECT CULTURAL CHORD.
Our Onam celebration, a two-day extravaganza, was no less than a delightful burst of cultural assimilation that struck just the right amount of amusement and warmth in all of us. It was awesome, to say the least.
EMBRACING TRADITIONS THROUGH CULTURAL PROGRAMS
What's a festival without dance, music and a little bit of drama? Our fest started off with a bag full of cultural programs that married traditional art with youthful exuberance in the most beautiful way possible.Trust me, we witnessed some serious thespian endeavors that day. But I reckon the best surprise was the fashion show where our senoirs dressed like bamboo boys.
The Sumptuous Feast (Onam Sadhya)
Arguably the heart of the Onam paradigm, the feast, or as we fondly call it, the 'Onam Sadhya' - was a platter full of happiness served on a banana leaf. From the spicy 'Sambar', the tangy 'Pulissery', to the sweet 'Pradhaman' (Did I also mention the different types of pickles and poppadum? Oh boy, I could go on!), it was nothing short of a culinary paradise. Picture this - a sea of students sitting down together, forgetting the exam stress and laughing over a plate of delectable food. Now that's the spirit of Onam, innit?
Competitions on Day 2
Friendly competitions stirred the youthful energy in the air as everyone was trying their best to leave a mark. We had singing competitions, purushakesari, and tug of war.
The Floral Designs and the Symbolic Significance
Last but not the least, the 'Athapookalam,' our very own state-of-the-art floral arrangement, was the crowning glory of the festival. So in essence, those two days were not just about celebrating Onam, they were about celebrating us. Every dance, every bite, every laugh echoed unity in diversity and reverberated the soul of our college culture - making our Onam celebration a grand spectacle of togetherness and joy.
"This blog would fall short of words if I am to describe every inch of our two day onam celebration at Mar Theophilus Training college"
