📌Lessons in Teaching and Learning

"Mistakes have the power to turn you into something better than you were before."   The day started on an amazing note —with confidence, energy, and better interactions with students . Over time, we have grown more familiar with the students, and they, in turn, have become more comfortable engaging and sharing their thoughts in class. A Small Mistake, A Big Lesson 🎯📅 However, the day also brought a learning moment for me . Due to a clash in my timetable , I missed a class in 9A . Instead, I took the lesson plan and later coordinated with another teacher to adjust it . Though it was a small mistake , it made me realize the importance of keeping track of schedules and informing authorities in advance . This is a lesson I plan to carry forward throughout my life —to always double-check my timetable and ensure proper communication. Thankfully, I handled the situation well , and it did not disrupt the flow of teaching. Engaging Lesson in 8A 🧬🔬 During the 5th period , I had my...

🕺Midweek Highlights – Learning & Fun with 9A 🌟

After missing Tuesday’s regular classes due to a holiday, I was excited to reconnect with my students the next day. During a substitution in 9A, I began by taking package concepts one by one As a Ice-breaking I introduced a fun activity called book cricket . 📖 The game required students to identify terms from their biology textbooks based on page numbers, sparking a healthy competition between teams.  The rules were simple, but the excitement and enthusiasm in the classroom were unmatched! 🎉 This activity helped me to convey my concept on Green Behaviour easier. I am planning to keep up the same pace for coming days.  Meanwhile, the school buzzed with annual day practice and screening tests happening at the auditorium. My schedule included afternoon duty (exchanged for Morning duty) and an extra evening duty for a colleague who was absent. JOINING THE TEACHING PRACTICE AFTER A SHORT BREAK.

The fourth semester began with renewed enthusiasm and anticipation. Our first day back at the school on January 9th started, as always, at 9:30 AM with a collective prayer. It was refreshing to be back in the familiar environment after a gap of nearly One and half months. The day began with a slight change in plans, as the headmaster, whom we were supposed to meet in the morning, was on half-day leave. Consequently, we decided to settle in and waited until the afternoon to meet him. During the morning hours, we focused on organizing ourselves, reconnecting with fellow trainees, and ensuring that we had a clear understanding of the portions for our respective classes. I had a substitution during the 3rd period in class 9A, where I chose to focus on building rapport with the students rather than diving directly into the syllabus. It felt important to reconnect with them after the long break. We had a light-hearted discussion about how their Christmas exams went, their holiday exp...
