🎒Day at MAR BASELIOS COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY📚

"Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions."

The second phase of my B.Ed 4th semester teaching practice on January 21st was nothing short of inspiring! 🌟 The day started with a significant event—the commencement of the 10th board exam model tests. The school atmosphere buzzed with seriousness as students geared up for their upcoming exams.

Meanwhile, the 8th standard students embarked on an educational visit to Mar Basilius College of Science and Technology. 🏫 It was an eye-opening experience for them as they explored the Mechanical and Civil Engineering departments, gaining insights into various engineering fields.

A Tour Through Engineering Marvels 🚀

At the Mechanical Engineering Department, Sijo sir and Aneesh sir guided the students through the Fluid Mechanics section, explaining fundamental concepts and real-world applications. 🌊⚙️

The Civil Engineering Department tour, led by Renju ma’am, was equally enriching. She took us through five specialized laboratories:

  • 🚗 Transportation Lab – Understanding the science behind roads and traffic flow.
  • 🏗 Concrete Lab – Learning about different types of concrete and their strengths.
  • 🔬 Material Testing Lab – Exploring how different materials are tested for construction.
  • 📏 Survey Lab – Getting hands-on experience with survey instruments.
  • 🌍 Geo technical Lab – Understanding soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

This visit played a crucial role in broadening students' career perspectives and helping them make informed decisions about their future studies. 🌱✨

Back to the Classroom 🎒📚

By 1 PM, we returned to the college, and during the 5th hour, I had my biology class in 9A. I introduced the students to the fascinating chapter on Adolescence and Fertilization, making sure to keep the lesson interactive and engaging. 🧬👶

Reflections on the Day 🌟

Days like these remind us how experiential learning plays a vital role in shaping young minds. Whether through industrial visits or classroom discussions, each experience contributes to their knowledge and future choices. It was a fulfilling day, blending practical exposure with classroom teaching, making it a perfect example of holistic education. 💡💖
