:) Yet another Day
A Free Day Well Spent at School π
Today was one of those lighter days during my teaching practice, where the schedule allowed for more interaction and engagement beyond regular teaching duties. With the weekend just around the corner, the energy in the school was vibrant yet relaxed. Here's how my day unfolded:
A Thoughtful 4th Hour – 9A π§
During the 4th hour, I had a session with 9A where we explored the topic of adolescence and fertilization. This subject, being closely connected to their lives, sparked genuine curiosity among the students. Their thoughtful questions and eagerness to learn made the class lively and engaging. It's always fulfilling to see young minds so intrigued and open to understanding topics that shape their growth.
Dance Practice Assistance π
With the school's annual day just around the corner, the entire campus buzzed with preparations. Students were immersed in rehearsals for their performances, and I was happy to lend a hand. I joined a group practicing their dance and helped them polish a few steps. It felt wonderful to be a part of their excitement and contribute to the event’s preparations.
A Reflective Hour with 8D ☀️
In the last period, I had a session with 8D, a Malayalam class with only 10 students. Instead of diving straight into academics, we started with a casual discussion about hobbies, dreams, and the changes they’d like to bring in their lives. Their honesty and reflections were heartwarming.
Later, we took a break and stepped outside to the playground to enjoy some fresh air. Sitting there and talking with the students felt like a peaceful way to end the day. Moments like these remind me of the importance of connecting with students beyond the classroom.
Midday Duty & More π
In the afternoon, I took up my usual duty during the lunch break. These duties often provide a chance to interact with students informally and observe the school’s lively atmosphere.
π‘ Takeaway:
Days like today reinforce the joy of teaching—not just imparting knowledge but connecting, inspiring, and learning from students. As the next week unfolds with the annual day festivities, I’m excited to see how the students’ hard work comes together on stage.
